Crit Notebook
Jun 26.10 / Sketchbook

A while back I posted some scans from the crit notebook I kept throughout the second and third year of university, so now I’ve finished, I scanned in a few more pages.
I will admit, to begin with I wasn’t particularly that bothered about using it to record any notes of thoughts down that involved work – but after sticking with it for so long, I’m quite glad I have it around and now I’ve finished, I’ve started a new one for me to use for all job and work placement related things, or anything that involves work in general.

Computer Arts 176 – It’s pretty cool to be in a magazine I read when I first started getting ‘serious’ about design. Plus it’s always a good thing to show the parents!
Oh, hello again! I’m Kim…

I’ve been MIA from here (again) for the last month or so, but not intentionally – I’ve been keeping busy.
1. University = no more
I’ve officially finished university and on course for a pretty good grade. It feels odd for me because even though I had handed in all my work (some of which I will show you at another time), I was still working on things related to the degree show so I didn’t really ever stop working. Which leads onto…
2. Show Ten
My degree show opened officially on Friday last week and it was a nice event although the heat was almost unbearable! Finally, all the extra work paid off! I have no idea how I became involved in so many things to do with it to be honest, in fact, I barely remembered what day it was during that quite lengthy period leading up to the opening night.
If you’re interested in making a visit, you can find out more information at the LSAD Graphic Design blog.

If you can’t make it or if you have some spare time on your hands and you just can’t quite make that decision on what to do, check out the Show Ten website featuring a fair bit of work from my entire year. Cheers to Dirty Mouse and the guys at Just Us for their posts about the website.

3. Felt
I’ve been lucky enough to be on a work placement for the last week in London with Felt and it is really good. I’m also absolutely loving being in London and wouldn’t hesitate at all about moving down here.
4. Computers Arts
I’ve had my work published for the first time! My work has been featured in Computer Arts 176 in the Exposure section along with a tiny written piece that took me ages to write because I was self conscious about how I was writing. Pictures soon. I say soon, it probably won’t be!
