Portfolio Redesign

www.kimberleychan.com

I made a few changes to my portfolio because some things were bothering me about it. They are only small things though. You know when something just isn’t right and you can’t help but obsess over it till you’re happy . I know you all know what I mean!

Anyway, I think I am settled with how it is now, so I can get on with my massive summer list that doesn’t appear to be getting done as quickly as I thought it would. Although, I got measured for my dinosaur suit yesterday by my sister to be told that I have a freakishly small back!

Things that are birthday related…

Birthday Cake

1. Cake!
It was my cousin’s 11th birthday over the weekend and my mum made her this cake, which we all thought seemed more Halloween themed! Tasty though.

Badges

2. Age!
Every year my mum always buys me a badge for my birthday and I’ve saved them in a box. It’s strange to think, the ‘I am 1′ badge is 20 years old! Anyway I used my collection to submit to Johnson Banks’ ‘Time’ gallery. I tried to send it off to them, but the email address keeps bouncing it back to me so I’ll have to try again later.

3. Parties!
I have no accompanying picture for this, but I spent two hours today at a children’s play area for another cousin’s birthday party. Screaming kids everywhere!

Back to Uni. Sort of.

Crit Notebook

I had ‘the envelope’ from my university this morning containing my summer project, so I’ll be working on those, alongside my original summer plans too!

To keep it short, I will be making a poster about Aids awareness, thinking about the theme of time, researching ‘text as a narrative’ and reading Flatterland by Ian Stewart which I’m a bit apprehensive about but hopefully will be interesting enough so I don’t scan through haha.
