Snow Day(s)
Jan 08.10 / Out & About

For me, unless I’m on a holiday that specifically requires the fluffy white stuff, I would prefer it to go away! It’s too cold and wet for my liking. So much in fact, that all these photos were taken from the warmth of my home through multiple windows!

A Well Deserved Break
Dec 22.09 / Out & About

Hello! I’ve finally finished my first semester at university which included taking down that beast of a dissertation! Now I’m ready for a well deserved Christmas break back at home.
Well sort of, I’ve got 2 weeks left of it after the holidays. And during the holidays I’ll be tidying work up that I’ve done over the last few months and getting it ready for assessment amongst some other jobs that I have to get done. So I’m sort of on a working holiday?

I have been up to other things though, one including the ‘Glasses & Tashes’ night out fundraiser (courtesy of Andy, Katy, Nikki and Ellie) for our final show! It was pretty successful and we managed to raise a good amount from tickets and door entry – thanks to the people that participated!
First film roll from Diana Mini
Nov 09.09 / Out & About, Photographs

On Wednesday I developed my first roll of film from my cute little Diana Mini. As I had it on half frame setting, it took me a while to take 72 photos. Particularly when the people you’re with do a flying out of the way movie style dodge when they catch a glimpse of it coming out of your bag.

Here is a cliché photograph of the cathedral here in Lincoln. I had gone 2 and a half years without taking one!

Bonfire Night
Nov 08.09 / Out & About

I don’t just work all the time, although it’s rare that I can say that! On Thursday it was nice to go round to a bonfire night some friends had at their house.

Andy mastered the art of fire…

We all realised that sparklers don’t seem to have the same appeal when you’re older. When you’ve lit one, the excitement is kind of over as the rest of them are pretty much the same…wish I didn’t buy three packets…

I haven’t mastered taking pictures in the dark yet, I prefer the daytime, so it was nice practise attempting to capture people…

The fire was still going strong…

So marshmallow toasting ensued…

And someone got carried away holding it in the fire.

RAF Nocton Hall Hospital
Oct 20.09 / Out & About, Photographs

During last week I was also working on something for another project with 4 other people which required us to think of some sort of photo editorial to place in a magazine. We ended up going to the RAF Nocton Hall hospital about a 25 minute drive away from us for our shoot which was awesome.
It’s actually massive but been stripped of anything valuable by now which makes it just that bit more creepy.
